This is an in-depth course focusing solely on the topic of Requirements Management.  The business analyst is faced with the daunting challenge of dealing with the vast amounts of data in the form of requirements. This course covers various concepts to enable the business analyst to more successfully manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Through a combination of lectures and hands-on exercises, students will learn business writing techniques, writing requirements for re-use, performing requirements traceability, various methods for requirements prioritization, and how to conduct an effective requirements review.
Course Information
This is a supplement to the Business Analysis Fundamentals course that provides a detailed look at the scope of Requirements Management. This is a one day class that uses a combination of lectures and in-class assignments to focus on the process of documenting, analyzing, tracing, prioritizing and agreeing on requirements and how to control change and communication to relevant stakeholders. Upon completion of this course, students will earn 7 training hours which can be applied towards the 21 required for the CBAP® and CCBA® certifications, or the 35 hours required for the PMI-PBA® certification.
